    Taken backstage at Woodstock, 1969, the sign was not placed there on purpose, it was just a great coincidence.  This image was used on the gatefold of the first official live album released by the Dead in late 1969.
    This is a signed photograph. Jim Marshall’s iconic photographs are now extraordinarily rare, as very few were printed and signed at the time of his passing.
