    The Confederate States
    To Sergt JE Woodrow
    To Constitution for rations from the 3rd day of Sept 1863 to the 24th day of Feb 1864 being one hundred and seventy four days at thirty three cents per day. .42
    I certify that the above account is accurate and just and that segt J E Woodrow of ... 8th SC Regt was absent on sick furlough during the whole of the time above specified and that he has not received constitution or rations in ... of the whole nor any part of the time above charged.
