Rare, 1960's vintage front-strike matchbook in very good condition, with only one match struck and missing, from the famous Harolds Club that was located in Reno, Nevada. This matchbook was manufactured by the Lion Match Company in Reno, Nevada.
On his 25th birthday, on February 23, 1935, Harold Smith Sr. opened a tiny gambling club in Reno, Nevada. Harolds Club became one of the largest, most famous and most historical casinos in Reno (Harolds Club or Bust) and operated until it closed forever on March 31st, 1997. On December 16th of that year, the famous Harolds Club was demolished by implosion. Another sad end of an era.
