    This is one of the many patriotic envelopes that were produced by the Union during the Civil War.  This one is captioned "E Pluribus Unum."  It shows an American shield flanked by US Flags.   It is 5 & 1/2" by 3 & 1/4" with a bit of age darkening but no other damage.
