    Description

    This is an original letter, dated 1862, where a mother has written to her son in the war, hoping that if there is any fighting he will be safe...she also lists a number of men who hav eenlisted as volunteers, no draft yet...other family news in the letter. Letter is 6x9, blue paper, in light, some words hard to decipher, overall good condition.
